A planning team cut a three-week review down to a day. The model read the packet, flagged the conflicts, and wrote a recommendation before lunch. The meeting still ran long. Nobody wanted to be the person who overruled a paragraph that sounded finished.
They had sped up the reading. They had not designed the decision.
a recommendation is a draft
Label it that way on the screen, not in a footnote. This is a draft for a named person. Here is what it weighed. Here is what it could not see. The accept action should require that person, and it should leave a record of whether they agreed, edited, or rejected.
If agreement is one click and disagreement is a form, you have chosen the outcome in the interface.
A fast draft that nobody can overrule is a decision you pretended not to make.
put a date on the call
Decide who decides, by when, and what happens if they do nothing. Silence should not count as approval. That single rule keeps a fast system from becoming an unreviewed one.
Use the speed. Spend it on a better argument in the room, not on skipping the room.
